Societies in the 1980's dedicated themselves to spreading truthful statistics about HIV/Aids. This photo was taken by Gran Fury after the flier was attempted to be taken down and had this note written on it.
A lot of the fight on defending the LGBTQ (lesbian;gay;bisexual;transgender;queer) community and HIV/Aids victims was destroying misconceptions of the disease. The picture was taken in the 1980's by Gran Fury as well.
